Amnasti, a joint project of Ana Ćurčin and Marko Nastić, announces pre-orders for their first studio album with the single “It Took Me So Long”!

Some collaborations are simply inevitable and must happen, even though they may seem completely impossible at first. Ana Ćurčin has been creating and releasing music for over a decade, while Marko Nastić, a legendary DJ and producer, has been a presence in the scene for over two decades. And now, here they are at a completely new beginning, on the joint project Amnasti. The video for “It Took Me So Long” was recently released, and their first studio album, also named “It Took Me So Long” will soon be available on vinyl and digital formats by the independent record labels Pop Depresija and PDV Records (PDV073).

“The song “It Took Me So Long” is about a moment of decision for me, about making cuts and changes, about moving away from old patterns. At the same time, it’s one of the songs closest to a “pop” form on the entire album, so it carries a certain lightness, a rhythm that moves you. When we add Neu, which was created for the video and she takes us into the digital world, everything becomes even more exciting. One of the guiding principles within our project is creating exciting and progressive visual content,” says Ana Ćurčin.

The futuristic video was created by Milan Ličina, who brought Neu to life in an incredible way, interpreting Ana’s lyrics.

“In the video, we follow Neu, who represents the feminine principle. Her movements are synchronized with the dynamics of the song, and through choreography, we see her freeing herself from influences that symbolically tie her to relationships. The strands of light freely passing through her suggest that these moments are governed by our inner feelings, while dance represents a universal message of overcoming challenges. I wanted to fully exploit the possibilities of contemporary real-time technology. Real body and facial movements were captured through motion capture, then transferred to a digital humanoid through scanning and adaptation into a MetaHuman character. Everything else, from animation to editing, was done in Unreal Engine,” explains Milan Ličina.

“It seems to me that the song “It Took Me So Long” went through the most transformations during the years of working on the album. I liked every version, but now it finally has its perfect sound. As this song is the title track of the album, because as the title suggests – it took us a long time to finish the album – I think it’s the perfect choice for a single to introduce our debut album to the audience. It took us so long, but it was all worth it :)” summarizes the work on the song and album Marko Nastić.

The album “It Took Me So Long” with eight songs will be available digitally and on vinyl on April 26th, pre-orders start today at 20 euros, and the album can be ordered on the PDV webshop https://www.pdv.com.hr/hr/store/amnasti-it-took-me-so-long-lp.
