PREACH THE RIČ: Arrested Development and Bad Copy are Headliners at Hip-Hop Festival in Šibenik

PREACH THE RIČ proudly announces this year’s headliners: the American legends Arrested Development and the equally renowned regional rappers Bad Copy, will perform at the second edition of this festival! PREACH THE RIČ, a hip-hop festival, is scheduled for August 16th and 17th at Martinska in Šibenik, Croatia. Over two days filled with rhymes and beats, the peninsula opposite Šibenik will become the center of the hip-hop scene in Dalmatia and beyond.

Arrested Development, a multi-platinum, Grammy-winning group, is known for their boundless energy that they pour into the eager souls of their audience. It has been decades since the young band, Arrested Development, slammed the then-dominant gangsta hip-hop with their defiant lyrics of hope. Formed in 1988 in Atlanta, Arrested Development became the first-ever hip-hop artist to receive the “best new artist” Grammy. They distinguished themselves with their socially conscious lyrics, which led to the invitation of director Spike Lee, to write a song for his film “X,” about the legendary Malcolm X. For the past 20 years, Arrested Development has been selling out concerts in literally every part of the world, and in August, they will perform in Šibenik for the first time at the PREACH THE RIČ Festival.

Bad Copy is a Belgrade rap group consisting of Ajs Nigrutin, Wikluh Sky, and Bdat Džutim Timbe, active since the mid-1990s. They are known for their humorous lyrics filled with slang. They have released four studio albums: “Orbod ebej,” “Sve Sami Hedovi,” “Najgori Do Sada,” and “Krigle,” as well as numerous solo projects. After the festival season, they announce plans to enter the studio and record a new album.
