Released digitally on Friday, February 28, KaliKamo’s debut album “Jedinstvo” is now also available on vinyl.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect, as tonight at Močvara, KaliKamo will kick off the first of many planned live shows across the region. Let’s review: KaliKamo is a local four-piece band featuring Roko Margeta (KudiKamo?, Kosan, Dunja Knebl, Gnomad) on keyboards, analog synths, tar, and loopers; Đuro Dobranić (KudiKamo?, Je Veux) on drums; Dino Mudrić handling gear and effects; and Chakka Svraka (BarabaDUB Sound System, Kali Fat Dub) on vocals. They seamlessly blend sound system culture, deep bass frequencies, the distorted energy of the French dub scene, extravagant and trippy synth maneuvers, razor-sharp drumming, masterful looping, melodic tar performances, processed vocals, and mesmerizing spoken word segments.
