A joint digital re-release of the bands Bijes zdravog razuma and Nula out soon

We are announcing a new digital re-release! A joint or split album of two friendly HC / punk bands, Bijes zdravog razuma and Nula. The album titled “Šplit (ako može šport, može i šplit)” was originally released on vinyl and audio cassette back in 1995 by Humanita Nova label. The album will be officially released on May 28, 2021, and will be available in digital formats for the first time through our Bandcamp site, digital platforms, and webshop.

The digital download contains a booklet with texts and lyrics (32 pages) that was illustrated by the most recognizable Croatian tattoo masters, Zele (Tattoo studio Zagreb) and Buncek (Tattoo studio Gandalf).

Premiere digital release of the first DIY record in recent Croatian history, with two friendly bands. At the time of the original release, it was adorned with the title of the first, totally independent, self-released record in the Croatian area. Although bands, and above all a group of young people who tried to discard all unnecessary and negative things and phenomena that threatened their existence, managed to transform the spirit of the time into a physical sound carrier. Far below the radar of the media-commercial space, they succeeded in delivering uncompromising material that was and remains widely recognized in the underground circles of ex-Yugoslavia and Europe.

Although this venture for both bands meant the first recording of music in a studio environment, the primordial energy of these recordings could only be experienced in a ‘live’ environment at some of the concerts held at that time. Uncompromising, fierce, and straight to the head! The lyrics of the songs themselves have always been put in the foreground, which even today, after more than 25 years, sounds like a prophetic scenario of everything that followed on the socio-political scene and continues today with minor oscillations.

The material was recorded in a studio in Marjan’s rehearsal house on Mirogoj. Produced by Zex, a member of the cult Zagreb HC band Hell’s Bells.
