For the seventh year in a row, Marinska has become an oasis of independent culture, this summer hosted events that have never been so diverse. On the peninsula near Šibenik, from July 17 to August 16, for 18 days in total the music played, throughout nine events - four festivals and five one-nighters.
Ranging from reggae, dub, punk, drum'n'bass, rock, metal, jazz, house and techno to hip-hop! This summer we danced in Martinska with: Sea Sound Festival, Martinska Punk Festival, Membrain Festival, ŠI Gitarijada #3 Memorijal Jose Gracina – Joke ‘Ne sekirajte se ništa’, Žestoka fešta, the CHUI concert, Slurp! Summer clubbing, the TBF concert and the Preach The RIČ Festival!
Sea Sound Festival, July 17 - 20
The second edition of the Sea Sound Festival brought together over 40 artist names that played on three stages, each Powered by its own custom made sound system. Channel One Sound System, Banana sound, P.A.I.N, Dubbleartstandart, Pablo Raster, DJ Saxe & Viti Nosabefingir, Plazmatick, to name a few.
Martinska Punk Festival, July 24 - 26
Ten bands were playing at another edition of the Martinska Punk Festival. Domestic and regional hardcore & punk forces have proven once again that Punk's not dead, nor can bad weather conditions disrupt the plan. Mašinko, Stepped Out, Meantime Raspad, Odpadki civilizacije, Stratus, KaliKamo, Urlik, Pasmaters and Žulj preformed at Martinska Punk 2025.
The Membrain Festival, July 31 - August 3
The first weekend in August was reserved for Membrain, Europe's most famous underground festival celebrating bass culture, from July 31st to August 3rd, Martinska resonated in the tones of bass music! This year, Membrain celebrated a big anniversary, its 10th edition, among numerous artists we can higlight Coco Bryce, Digital and Nookie.
ŠI Gitarijada #3 Memorijal Jose Gracina – Joke ‘Ne sekirajte se ništa’, August 4
A special evening at Martinska was dedicated to its last inhabitant, as well as the great Šibenik legend Josip Gracin - Joke. The memorial to the prematurely departed Joke gathered his friends and family, his book "S mora, rijeka i planina, teke oko Šibenika" was presented, a vinyl single with two of his poems, and old recordings of Martinska from his archive were shown. The music part of the program was provided by Lili Gee, who played for several hours to the delight of the audience.
Žestoka fešta at Martinska, August 7
For the first time, a gathering dedicated to metal music was held in Martinska, Žestoka fešta brought together five bands from Croatia: Zlobnik, Doom Temple, Radagast, Narkotik and Duskbreed. Loud music, impressive stage performances, and costumes marked the evening.
The CHUI concert, August 8
A solo concert by the esteemed band Chui brought space jazz rock to the stage in the middle of a pine forest on Friday, August 8th. Their flawless performance, their virtuosity in playing, and their inexhaustible energy delighted the audience.
Slurp! Summer clubbing, August 9
Saturday, August 9th at Martinska was booked for a party and the sounds of house and techno, with Slurp! Summer clubbing. Five DJs behinde the decks made the audience dance: Marko Nastić, Ivan Komlinović, Jan Kinčl, Mate Čeko and Ščak.
The TBF concert, August 14
The pioneers of their own genre called "Ping Pong music", The Beat Fleet from Split held a memorial concert at Martinska. TBF recorded their numerous hits, which were sung back by a large audience. The enthusiasm was not hidden by the band nor the visitors, and the stage surrounded by a pine forest proved to be the perfect place for such a musical event.
Preach The RIČ Festival, August 15 - 16
The third edition of Preach The RIČ showed that hip-hop has a great vibe, festival gathered many performers and fans of the genre. All of us enjoyed two full days and nights of socializing and good music. Edo Maajka and Who See as the stars of the evenings dominated the stage, the rest of the lineup consisted of young names from the local scene showed that hip-hop has a very good future.
