The fourth edition of the Magic Box online concert, filled on Saturday, January 30, not only the location where it was held, Zagreb's HUB385, with great live performances, but also many social networks and other internet channels.
Six hours of non-stop music and concerts by six bands and authors of the domestic independent and alternative music scene were watched by over 12,000 people. In this time when both musicians and audiences really lack live performances, Magic Box has at least partially managed to replace the experience of a real concert. Despite the impossibility of live music, the musicians still create at full steam, and the domestic scene is very much alive, as evidenced by the musical guests who presented new releases and projects.

Magic Box # 4, jointly organized by Radio 808 and Positivan ritam, was opened by the pioneers of reggae music in Croatia, Brain Holidays, and immediately warmed up the scene with warm Caribbean rhythms. This multi-member band celebrated 20 years of existence last year and performed in Jamaica on that occasion.
Dimitrije Dimitrijević, the solo project of the singer and bassist of the band Igralom Dimitrije Simović, took over the great atmosphere and stage. With a great team of musicians behind him, he presented material from his debut album Čar-pitanje, Dimitrije's lyrics accompanied by elements of trip hop, blues, alternative, funk, synth pop, RNB electronics and ambient music.
The absolute explosion on the stage in HUB385 was Chui, a praised and awarded space jazz-rock band from Zagreb. The four expressive members of the band “walked” through their opus firmly rooted in jazz, but which bravely flirts with many other genres. Once again Chui have proven their absolute dominance in jazz waters and live performances.
Relaxation into lighter sounds after the energetic Chui enabled performance by Aklea Neon, a singer-songwriter and traveling musician. And this time Aklea channeled her afro-soul, ethno-beats harmonies with her whole body - her foot on the pedal looper, her hand on the guitar and the MIDI controller with a voice that resonates to the scalp. The young musician recently released the single Shika Shika, and took home the first music prize in her career, the one for the best singer-songwriter at the recently awarded Music Pub Awards.
The most anticipated performance of the evening, the sharp and witty chronicler of the time Alejuandro Buendija and his band Sinovi did not disappoint. In his project Alejuandro Buendija, Saša Antić recently released the album Škrinja, created during the pandemic quarantine, and with the band Sinovi he shook the current state of society through the ghost associations, top lyrics and a lot of black humor. Along with the guest on the microphone, Yuri from STillnes performed the 2008 hit Ludi SplitY' all, and the legendary DJ Phat Phillie joined them on the turntables.
The fourth Magic Box closed the Croatian best export product in the electronic music genre - Petar Dundov, with a one-hour set in its production and proved the title of certainly the most famous Croatian DJ and producer who is one of the strongest domestic authors in terms of talent, musical experience and discography. He has a large number of singles, albums and performances at festivals and clubs around the world.
Special dynamics and talk-show atmosphere were given by interviews with musicians between each performance, in which we learned something more, and through which they were relaxedly led by the new host couple Ida Prester and Goran Pirš - Piro.
