On July 16, with the start of the Sea Sound Festival begines the eighth summer season at Martinska in Šibenik.
Over the coming weeks, visitors can look forward to eight events in total – four festivals and four single-day programs. Sea Sound itself runs for four days, bringing sound system culture to Martinska along with numerous performers from across Europe, the region, and Croatia. All programs will take place across two stages: the Live Sound Stage, powered by the Seasplash Sound System, and the Bass Sound Stage, powered by the Nettle Sound System.
Hornsman Coyote & Ras Milenko, Joke & Chakka, Wicked and Bonny’s Echo Syndicate, and BeetanTone are just some of the more than 30 artists appearing at the festival’s third edition, continuing the legacy established by the legendary Seasplash Festival. When Sea Sound concludes on July 19, the rest of Martinska’s rich summer program is only just beginning.
From July 23 to 25, Martinska Punk Meets Žestoka Fešta takes over, bringing together around a dozen local punk and metal legends alongside international heavyweights GBH and Cro-Mags.
The third week offers a diverse series of single-day events. On July 30, Membrain Pulse brings together some of the finest DJs from the bass music scene, keeping alive the spirit of Membrain Festival, which is taking a break this year. On July 31, acclaimed Croatian artist Kandžija, known for his roots in hip hop, arrives with his live band for a full evening of entertainment featuring many of his most celebrated songs. On August 1, Slurp! Summer Clubbing takes over, with Dea Dvornik leading a lineup of nine DJs set to deliver an unforgettable night on the dancefloor.
The final week leaves no room for rest. On August 4, the eve of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, Ane Paška and her KoncArt project, Salon za uljepšavanje duše (“Beauty Salon for the Soul”), will bring a unique artistic experience before the season heads into its grand finale.
This year, ŠI Gitarijada #4: Josip Gracin Joke Memorial – “Ne sekirajte se ništa” (“Don’t Worry About Anything”) expands into a two-day event on August 5 and 6. Alongside performances by popular bands, the event will once again honour the memory of Josip Gracin and celebrate his lasting contribution to the local music scene.
Martinska 2026 closes with a hip-hop festival. The fourth edition of Preach the RIČ Festival welcomes back Smoke Mardeljano, joined by Krešo Bengalka, Mrigo & Ghet, Bepo Bagulin, Lipi Ive, and Hram. Taking place on August 7 and 8, the festival will feature as many as 19 performers alongside a wide range of accompanying activities and attractions.
