Today, a new, third-in-a-row announcement single from the upcoming charity compilation “Healing Sounds – Croatia Earthquakes Relief Project” was released. It is a song called LA Rework and is the work of Zagreb electronic producer and DJ Jan Kinčl with a guest appearance by French keyboardist Regis Kattie. The song was originally supposed to be a remix of Lost Angel song by producer Danijel Kevic, but the guys in the studio went so far that it became a completely new composition. The reaction of Laurent Garnier, one of the pioneers of the French electronic scene, is “superb deepness, looove the track“, and the single was supported by Berlin DJ Lakuti (Panorama Bar) and the famous British producer Jimpster.
The author of the cover photography of the single is Ivan Klindić, while Luka Vucić is responsible for the illustration and design.
Jan Kinčl is a house and techno DJ, producer, engineer, live act performer, radio show editor, and party organizer. After two decades in all these areas, it is almost impossible to talk about contemporary electronic music in Croatia and not touch on something in which he was involved. Jan’s sound is a combination of house and techno, deeply rooted in the organic and soulful side of these genres, with a strong influence of early Detroit music. In the last few years, jazz trips have deepened and in 2016 resulted in a collaborative project with French jazz keyboardist Regis Kattie, and their debut album “In Plain Sight,” located on the axis between jazz and house, has been described as one of the most significant moments of contemporary regional dance music ”.
