Today marks the release of the first original song and single by the Zagreb reggae/dancehall band One Dread called ‘Remembering‘! Also included with the single comes a dub remix of the song made for this occasion by Dr. Obi.
One Dread is composed of four instrumentalists led by the TNT vocal section consisting of Tea, Nika, and Tena. The song ‘Remembering‘ is their first original song and single which announces the release of a new album that is in the recording phase and will be released next year via PDV Records. This dynamite trio, with their three-vocal vocal lines, makes One Dread a unique musical ensemble in this area, which is why each of their concerts is a special experience. The band has played over 400 concerts throughout Croatia and the region, and in addition to club gigs, they often take the stages of world and regional festivals.
Although the band is based on reggae and related genres, the musical preferences of all involved contribute to a very interesting blend of different musical directions. Third World, Bob Marley, Inner Circle, Alborosie, Steel Pulse are just some of the artists whose songs One Dread successfully covers. The band is in the process of recording their first studio album, from which some songs will be premiered at this year’s, 19th edition of the Seasplash Festival.
